The Bad Day
Posted on September 11th, 2012Today is the 11th anniversary of September 11, 2001. In our house, Junior (who was in kindergarten when it happened) called it “the bad day.” And that’s what Harry and I have called it ever since. So on this anniversary of The Bad Day, I am linking to a blog I found by accident this morning (shamefully while I was watching a clip of Britney Spears learning to Gangnam dance, yeah I might be obsessed). It contains potty mouth language, but I think it’s very powerful.

I watched that clip of Brittney also. Great blog you spotted. I was moved by her memory of 9/11. The comments – well some were great others just spiteful to sound superior to others. I was sent to Ground Zero. I watched the news , saw the towers fall, airplane hijacked reels and Pentagon clips while on the phone receiving orders to go to NYC and help clear, give aide, as a soldier. Then while there- I was ordered to home station to prepair to go to the Sandbox.

You are welcome. It seriously was my honor and priviledge to serve. I would sign up again, do it all again) just not GZ) I try not to jump on my soap box (sometimes not too hard). But I saw a lot of the same addititudes then and now. I must confess, I was a little shocked and ticked about the proposed Mosque on ground Zero. I hope it doesn’t happen. For a couple reasons. 1- safety of the mosque members. A lot of people will not let them assemble peacefully. 2- sorry- but that is a bit like salt in the wound for me. I know the members did not have anything to do with it, but here’s the deal. Fanatics travel, under the guise of visiting family or other brother mosques to recruit and gather intell.
Opps- there’s that soap box.
