I have never cut down my own tree. We buy them ready cut in England.

Seriously? Nobody cuts their own trees? You miss the joy and rapture of being hit in the head with a rusty old saw. I can’t understand why the English would want to miss that.
Ooh, I love tinsel trees. I searched for one forever and my husband finally found a four footer that I put in the living room every year. Have a great holiday! Aren’t you supposed to be visiting family and enjoying some lovely summer weather?

This year, my 4 year old son and I went to cut the tree ourselves. We live in Vermont. It was cold. And wet. And it took forever. Our saw also got stuck when Small asked to “help” and stopped sawing to let him do so. But once we got it home and the rest of the family helped trim it…well, it was all worth it. Merry Christmas!
